Who is the Retail Ready program for?
Retail Ready is designed for teens aged 14–18 who are looking for their first job — or have recently started one — in retail, customer service, or hospitality. No prior experience needed.
Do I need to watch the course with my teen?
Not at all. Retail Ready is self-paced and designed to be completed independently by your teen.
That said, many parents choose to watch alongside or chat about the modules after — it can be a great bonding moment!
How long will it take to complete the course?
Most students finish Retail Ready in 1.5 hours — but they can go at their own pace.
It’s flexible, low-pressure, and they can return to any module at any time during their 12-month access.
What’s included in the $97 price?
You get full access to 10 core modules, a bonus Interview & Resume preparation module, downloadable tools and worksheets, plus a certificate of completion and a reference-style endorsement letter from The Retail Life Coach, signed as a qualified Retail Sales Trainer — all available for 12 months.
Will this course actually help my teen get a job?
Yes, it will help, however they do still need to take action!
Retail Ready teaches exactly what employers look for: communication skills, presentation, customer service, teamwork, and how to handle interviews and first shifts with confidence.
These are the soft skills that most teens aren’t being taught elsewhere, and they make all the difference.
My teen is shy / anxious — will this still work for them?
Absolutely. Retail Ready is designed to build confidence gently. We don’t expect loud or outgoing we encourage self-awareness, preparation, and practice.
Many shy teens find that having a step-by-step guide helps them feel ready and in control.
What if my teen doesn’t finish the course?
No pressure here, once you purchase, you have 12 months of access. Your teen can revisit lessons anytime within the 12 months and complete the modules at their own pace. We also include real-life stories and challenges that keep them engaged without feeling like school.
Is there any support after the course finishes?
Yes! After your teen completes the course, they’ll walk away with practical tools they can revisit anytime, plus downloadable resources. They will also receive a certificate of completion and a reference-style endorsement letter from me, signed as a qualified Retail Sales Trainer to include in their resume folder or to take along for their interview.
